At Quaalup Homestead Wilderness Retreat you can stay as close to the whales and wildflowers of the Fitzgerald River National Park as possible
The only accommodation in the Fitzgerald River National Park. The Retreat is situated on 40 acres of privately owned bushland in the western side of the National Park, near the town of Bremer Bay. Enjoy our peaceful and picturesque setting with max occupation of 22 guests plus a few campers. Except Xmas and Easter you’ll share the “Quaalup Experience” only with a handful of people.
The owners Karin and Carsten will provide you on arrival with useful information about the area, eg walks, places to visit, Flora and Fauna.
All our accommodation is clean and cosy, equiped with cooking facilities and outdoor sitting areas. There are comfy beds with “real” doonas, fresh linen and towels.
Quaalup Homestead Wilderness Retreat is located near Bremer Bay (49km by 2WD road or 17km on a 4WD only track (check conditions) ) in the Fitzgerald River National Park in Western Australia (WA), 189km from Albany via Devils Creek Rd.
Self catering 2 person ensuite Units ($175)
There are four charming self catering units ( studios ), each with private toilet and shower. They are situated in one building next to the historic Homestead, each unit has a separate entrance. Three units have queen beds, one unit has 2 extra-long single beds. Each unit has a 4 burner gas cook top, bar fridge with small freezer compartment, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. All beds are made up “north european” style, with “real” doonas and fresh linen. Towels are provided.There is a veranda outside and a BBQ area next to the units.
Price (all year round): 2 persons $175
2 nights minimum stay.
Drinking Water is supplied, please don’t bring any bottled water.
Please remember, Quaalup is solar powered only, so you can’t use :
Hairdryer, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Coffee Machine. As a general rule, no appliances which generate heat.
Self catering ensuite Chalet (from $205)
The comfortable self catering chalet with private toilet and shower is nestled in native bush, in complete privacy. It is suitable for up to 5 persons – great for a family, a group of friends or if you want a romantic getaway .One bedroom has a queen bed, the other one has a single and a bunk bed. All beds are made up “north european” style, with “real” doonas and fresh linen. Towels are provided. The kitchen is well equiped with a gas stove/oven, a fridge/freezer and various cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is a spacious veranda with a gas BBQ.
Regular prices: 2 persons $205 (extra adult $20, extra child $15)
Peak prices: 2 persons $215 (extra adult $20, extra child $15)
2 nights minimum stay, 3 nights minimum stay for Easter and from 20th of December to 14th of January.

The cabin with private toilet and shower offers comfortable accommodation for up to 7 persons. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has three single beds. There is an extra door between these two rooms, ideal for children. The third bedroom has 2 single beds and a separate entrance from a covered patio outside. All beds are made up “north european” style, with “real” doonas and fresh linen. Towels are provided.The kitchen is well equiped with a gas stove/oven, a fridge/freezer and various cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

cancellation policy
A deposit of one night is due ( by cheque or bank transfer) at the time of booking.$20 cancellation fee has to be payed for every cancellation.
There will be a full refund if a cancellation is made not later than on 1 month prior to the arrival date.
There will be a refund of 50% of the full sum of the whole stay if a cancellation is made not later than 1 month to 8 days prior to the arrival date.
The full amount for the booked period/nights is due if a cancellation is made 7 days or less prior to the arrival date
