Sightseeing and activities around Quaalup Homestead  Wilderness Retreat

From July to mid October Southern Right Whales calve in the calm waters of Point Ann

 

An incredible diversity of flowers and plant species (more than 1800!) can be found in the park all year round, especially colourful from July to December.

The diverse Flora, Fauna and relaxing atmosphere of this area are best experienced by foot

Spend your day lazing on the squeaky white sands and swimming in the turqoise waters around gorgeous Point Ann or Trigelow Beach, the water temperatures kept quite moderate by the Leeuwin Current (winter 18°C, summer 23°C)

To paddle along the beautiful Gairdner River in a boat or kayak is a magic experience

The heritage listed Homestead is open for guests to visit

You can admire the pituresque summit of West Mount Barren from the Quaalup Homestead Wilderness Retreat 

This area is home to a large variety of animals and birds, Kangaroos, Brush-tailed Wallabies,Honey Possums, Mallee Fowls, Carnabys Cockatoos, Emus, Echidnas and Reptiles, just to name a few

From January to end of March Orcas can be seen in the Bremer Bay Canyon ( km 60 offshore )
